Fear of missing out or FOMO is human nature and what drives social media.

Facebook’s goal with the news feed is to display the stories that are important to you. They order posts in an order based on how interesting they are to you. The more you contact someone or like or comment on content, Facebook will rank them higher in your news feed.

Facebook has added the ‘See First’ feature to help you not to miss important updates from friends and pages. With this feature you can now select which friends and pages you would like to see at the top of your news feed.

The new feature can be found under the ‘Following’ tab on profiles and pages. It lets you the user take back control over what appears in your news feed.
